If you want to improve performance, you need to reduce the amount of graphics memory in use which means looking for an 8x or 4x pack. Most "FPS Boosters" use some trick that the creator has deluded themselves into thinking will help like having all blocks a single color, yet they still leave them at 16x resolution. If you want to use a resource pack to try to help with your performance, look for one that's a lower resolution than the default 16x. In the vast majority of cases, that WILL improve your performance. Set all of the performance options to fast, turn off clouds, etc. Your best bet is to install Optifine and just turn off everything you can stand to be without. Better hardware = more FPS gain which obviously isn't useful to you at the moment. (yes, minute) To put it another way, the gain is proportional to your hardware in most cases. People with higher-end computers will tout them as giving extra FPS, but lower-end hardware is only likely to see a few more frames per minutes. I know its a dumb topic, But i really want to know. ( ex: SharpFX, FPS Boosting Resource pack, etc) I want to know if these so called R exture Pack FPS Boosters actually work. Since i have a Low end laptop (Planning on getting a Desktop ), I've been searching for FPS Boosters (Mods, Tweakers, Texture packs, Etc).
